Enemies and Logic

Enemies and Logic

Enemy settings are on the Enemizer tab. Logic Level is on the Items tab.

The long enemizer notes, including which enemies are banned from blocking a path, are in the Enemizer document.

Enemy Shuffle

None leaves enemies where they are.

Shuffled moves enemies around. A ban list keeps out placements that block the path, force unavoidable damage, or break the room.

Boss Shuffle

Agahnim and Ganon stay in their own fights.

None leaves the other bosses where they are.

Simple rearranges the original set of bosses.

Full uses every boss type, and fills the extra rooms with duplicates.

Unique gives the prize dungeons different bosses, and gives Ganon's Tower three different bosses.

Random picks a legal boss for each room on its own, so repeats are normal.

A few bosses cannot be placed in a few rooms. Trinexx is kept out of Ganon's Tower's basement when door shuffle is on. Swordless seeds keep Kholdstare in Ice Palace for Simple, Full, and Unique.

Health, damage, and enemy logic

Enemy Health starts at Default. Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert scale the fights.

Enemy Damage starts at Default. Shuffled rearranges the damage table. Random assigns damage more freely.

Enemy Logic decides whether an enemy that needs an unusual weapon may guard a check. The dropdown starts on Allow special enemies anywhere.

  • Forbid special enemies keeps those enemies off doors, chests, and key drops.
  • Item drops may have special enemies allows them on drops, and then the right weapon is required. Challenge rooms stay clear of them.
  • Allow special enemies anywhere allows them on challenge rooms and on drops, and the logic follows the placement.

Logic Level

No Glitches expects ordinary item use.

Minor Glitches may expect fake flippers, a bunny revival, or crossing a dark room without the lamp.

Overworld Glitches may expect overworld clips and screenwraps, superbunny, and the mirror clip into Desert Palace's east door.

Hybrid Major Glitches adds underworld clips on top of the overworld set. It does not run together with Door Shuffle. The clips include the Kiki skip into Palace of Darkness, the Ice Palace lobby clip, and a handful of dungeon-to-dungeon transitions.

No Logic places items without checking whether you can reach them.

If you use fake flippers, be careful walking south off a screen. You can come out at the top of the waterfall in the southeast of either world. Dropping from there looks like a freeze. The game is scrolling you back to the water you entered. When you land, save and quit works. The fall is close to the edge, and it is easy to take.
