World and Goals
These settings are on the Items tab.
Open starts with Zelda already rescued. This is the usual start.
Standard starts in the rain, and you rescue Zelda yourself. Hyrule Castle's secret entrance and front door stay fixed. In a heavy entrance shuffle, leaving Hyrule Castle through a side exit before Zelda is rescued can leave the rain in a strange state.
Inverted starts you in the Dark World. In Overworld Randomizer, the Link's House start is inside the Big Bomb Shop, and that shop has a bed. Inverted here also changes the overworld in these ways:
- Old Man Cave and Bumper Cave entrances are back to their original shape.
- Saving and quitting in the Mountain Cave returns you to that cave.
- The ladder from West Dark Death Mountain up toward Ganon's Tower is gone.
- Flute spot 1 is at the top of Dark Death Mountain, next to Ganon's Tower.
- The flute is already active when you find it.
- Spiral Cave and Mimic Cave are bridged together.
- The Turtle Rock peg puzzle is restored, and it reveals a ladder.
- The Chris Houlihan room exits where the Link's House start exits.
- The Ganon hole exits through a new door on top of Hyrule Castle.
- Ice Palace is sealed the vanilla way. The portal sits on the outer edge of the moat, so Ice Palace is mirror locked.
- Glitched modes use vanilla terrain except where a change is required.
These changes are part of the logic. CodeTracker shows a 2 on the World State icon when it detects them. You can also set that by right-clicking the icon.
The Retro button sits beside World State. It sets Small Keys to Universal, switches the bow to a retro bow, and turns Take Any Caves on when they were off. The program lists what it changed.
Defeat Ganon collects the crystals, beats Agahnim 2, and then fights Ganon.
Crystals collects the crystals and then fights Ganon. Agahnim 2 is not required.
Master Sword Pedestal places the Triforce at the pedestal.
All Dungeons collects the crystals and the pendants, beats both Agahnim fights, and then fights Ganon.
Triforce Hunt scatters 30 Triforce pieces. You need 20 of them.
Trinity lets you finish in any one of three ways. You can fight Ganon without Agahnim 2, pull the pedestal, or turn Triforce pieces in to Murahdahla. The usual piece count is 8 of 10. A custom item pool can change that count. A comfortable setup is 7 crystals to open Ganon's Tower, and 4 or 5 crystals to harm Ganon. Random crystal counts work too.
Ganonhunt scatters 30 Triforce pieces. You need 20 of them, and then you fight Ganon. Agahnim 2 is not required.
Completionist asks you to find everything and then defeat Ganon.
Crystals to open GT and Crystals to harm Ganon set those counts from 0 to 7, or to Random. All Dungeons keeps its own Ganon requirements, so the Ganon crystal dropdown does not change that goal.
Weapons chooses where swords are. Randomized scatters them. Assured starts you with one. Swordless removes them and changes a few barriers so the game can still be finished. Vanilla leaves swords in their original chests.
Item Pool and Item Functionality change how generous the seed is. Normal is the everyday choice. Hard and Expert shrink the pool and how items behave.
Timer Setting starts at No Timer. The other choices add a clock, a countdown, or a one-hit mode.
Accessibility has three choices. 100% Inventory is the usual one. It aims to make your unique items reachable. Beatable only promises that the goal can be finished. 100% Locations asks the generator to cover more checks.
Hints turns on helpful text from the telepathic tiles and the storytellers.
Display Collection Rate shows a count of what you have found, unless a Triforce piece counter needs that space.
Logic Level is described on Enemies and Logic.
