More Detail

The other pages are the settings on the tabs. This page is where to go when you want a file, a full list, or a rule that the tabs do not show.

Customizer

A customizer file is a YAML file of settings. The GUI can load one from the Generation Setup tab. Export Yaml, on the bottom of the window, writes a file from the settings you have open.

Use a customizer file for mystery weights, a starting follower, a custom item pool, and the settings that have no checkbox. Those include money balancing, a lamp cone in every dark room, and forcing one enemy type. The field names and the examples are in Customizer.md.

The Custom Item Pool tab and the Starting Inventory tab are the in-program versions of the same ideas. Customizer.md explains when a pool file replaces the whole pool, and when it only adjusts a few items.

Plando

A plando file places specific items or entrances yourself. The template in the repository is Plandomizer_Template.txt.

Longer references

Installation and the command-line list are in the README.

Room-by-room door changes, the Shopsanity shop list, and the rails on mixed dungeon travel are in the Door Randomizer features guide. The short version of the door changes is on Dungeons.

Enemy bans, boss placement limits, and enemy health are in the Enemizer document.

Game Options

The Game Options tab is cosmetic. It sets the sprite, the Triforce piece graphic, palettes, menu speed, heart color, heart beep, music, quickswap, reduced flashing, and the sound shuffles. None of those change what the seed requires.
