Commands

Applies to all six Info TAB branches. The command tree is identical on all of them.

Who can run it

Any player. No sub-command is gated behind operator level, and the mod defines no permission nodes — there is nothing to grant with a permissions plugin.

Two consequences worth knowing:

  • Every player can rewrite the shared colours, aliases, format and placement for everybody. On a public server, that is a setting any player can change.
  • The command must come from a real player. The server console and command blocks are rejected, because every sub-command resolves the position of the sender as a player. There is no coordinate argument, so you cannot target a specific player or dimension.

Running /infotab with no sub-command prints a help block.

Commands

Root: /infotab

Colours

Command What it does
/infotab color <dimension> <color> Sets a custom colour for one dimension, replacing any previous entry for it.
/infotab color default <color> Sets the fallback colour.
/infotab color overworld <color> Sets the Overworld colour.
/infotab color nether <color> Sets the Nether colour.
/infotab color end <color> Sets the End colour.

Note the nesting: the four presets are under color, so it is /infotab color default gold, not /infotab default gold.

Aliases

Command What it does
/infotab alias <dimension> <alias> Renames a dimension in the tab list.
/infotab resetalias <dimension> Removes the alias for a dimension.
/infotab list aliases Prints every alias as namespace:path -> Alias.

Custom colours

Command What it does
/infotab resetcolor <dimension> Removes the custom colour for a dimension.

Format and placement

Command What it does
/infotab format <format> Sets the dimension format string.
/infotab placement prepend Puts the dimension part before the player name.
/infotab placement append Puts it after. This is the default.

Settings

Command What it does
/infotab setting <key> <true|false> Toggles one boolean option.

Valid keys are perDimColor, enableAliases, showAfk and showDimension. Those are the only ones suggested as you type, but the argument itself accepts any word — an unknown key does nothing yet still answers that it was set.

Information and maintenance

Command What it does
/infotab dimid Prints your current dimension id and name.
/infotab list colors Prints every custom colour as namespace:path -> colour.
/infotab refresh Re-sends display names for all tracked players.
/infotab reload Prints "Configuration reloaded." — see the warning below.

Two commands that do less than they say

/infotab reload does not reload anything. There is no file re-read behind it: it prints the message and refreshes the players' names. To pick up hand-edited changes to the TOML you must restart the server.

/infotab refresh ignores its argument. It walks the mod's own internal list of tracked players rather than the list you pass it. Passing player names or a selector has no effect; it refreshes everyone it knows about.

Argument hints

/infotab color and /infotab alias suggest the three vanilla dimension ids. resetcolor and resetalias suggest the dimensions you already have an entry for. Colours and aliases are accepted as free text, so nothing stops you typing an id by hand.

The command's own output strings are English literals, not translation keys, so they are not localised.
