Phone Macropad

A Macro Pad is a simple device with programmable buttons to cause whatever actions the user desires on their host computer.

There are various open-source versions of this that can be used on a variety of devices, including old phones or tablets. I personally have always felt like they lack something.

This project would include both a host PC application for configuring and responding to actions, and a mobile app or website that can be used to display the buttons and trigger the designated actions. This could also be expanded to work on more than just a single computer, but instead a complete home smart system.

In a previous class project, I created one of these already, but I think it could be interesting to start over and try to build it better.
