Social Restaurant Discovery App

Main Idea

This would be an app where users follow friends, influencers, or local foodies who have rated restaurants to discover their top recommendations. It shifts the focus from anonymous, aggregated reviews to curated, personal recommendations from people whose taste the user trusts.

Scope

This could be implemented as a mobile app (iOS/Android) or a web app. We would need to create user profiles, a following/follower system, an integration with a restaurant database (like Google Places), and a clear UI for rating places. There would also need to be a feed or list view to see your network's activity. But for the bare minimum, users need to be able to search for a restaurant, leave a rating, and see a list of recommendations from people they follow.

Possible Extra Things That Could Be Added Or Dropped

Wishlists to track places you want to try, a custom color-coded map view, and integrations with reservation systems are some things that could be added.
