Crafting
Recipe Scrolls let you craft basic jewelry. There are three: Ring Recipe, Necklace Recipe and Bracelet Recipe. Find them in chests and mob drops (see Where to Find).
Each scroll is used up when you craft with it. Combine it with 4 of a material anywhere in a crafting table (shapeless):

Crafted jewelry is Regular style with no gem and no spells. Next, add a gem and a spell. Wood, Great and Lord's jewelry, and jewelry with gems already set, are only found as loot.
The ingredients use common tags, so ingots and bones from other mods work too.

Craft them from 2 Iron Ingots and 1 Iron Nugget:

Put the pliers and a piece of jewelry with a gem in a crafting grid to get the gem back. The jewelry is destroyed, along with its spells. The pliers come back with 1 use spent; they last 64 uses.
This is the opposite of removing a gem at the anvil, which keeps the jewelry and destroys the gem.
Silver is only used for jewelry. There are no silver tools or armor.
- Mine Silver Ore (stone pickaxe or better) for Raw Silver.
- Smelt it in a furnace, or a blast furnace for speed, to get a Silver Ingot.
