Does it apply to jobs for me? No, never. It prepares everything; you open the employer's page, submit, and click Mark applied. The agents have no browser or form tools.

Do I need a Claude subscription? No. An Anthropic API key works too. A Pro or Max subscription is usually cheaper if you already have one. See Claude Access.

How much does it cost with an API key? It depends on how many postings reach scoring and how many drafts you allow. Drafting is the largest share. Lower Drafts per run, raise Minimum fit score, or use Sonnet for drafting to spend less.

Can it invent experience on my CV? Every claim must come from your candidate profile or the claim bank; the prompts forbid invented metrics, tools or experience, and leave genuine gaps visible. Always read a draft before you send it.

Why are Jobgether, Weekday and similar sites skipped? They repost other companies' jobs, often hiding the real employer, and the same role shows up many times. Apply Desk prefers the employer's own listing. The list is AGGREGATORS in app/pipeline.py.

Can I use it outside India? Yes. The defaults target remote roles open to India; change the location in a few places listed in Job Sources.

Does it work on macOS or Windows? Search, scoring, Gmail and the dashboard do. Drafting needs Linux for the TeX sandbox, so use WSL2 on Windows or a Linux VM on macOS.

Is my email safe? Gmail access is read-only IMAP with an app password you can revoke any time. Only job-related emails are classified, and the app password is stored outside the repo.

Can I edit the tracker by hand? Yes. job_search_tracker.csv is the source of truth and the dashboard reads it live.

Can I see it on my phone? Run serve --host 0.0.0.0 and open your computer's address on the same Wi-Fi, or use the Docker setup. The layout fits phone screens.

How do I update? git pull upstream main, then pip install -r app/requirements.txt and cd app/web && bun install && bun run build. Restart the app.

What is FRAMEWORK.md? The original Claude Code workflow Apply Desk is built on (/setup, /apply, /interview ...). You can still use it directly in Claude Code.
