Joysticks
We bought the Jituihom HKD-FW24 joystick because it was a relatively cheap and waterproof joystick
After realizing its only a 4 direction joystick(no diagonal movement) we are likely going to return it.

Attempted testing was showed connecting the top contacts on one side of the joystick registered the joystick being pushed only forward
and flipping the joystick to the other side, the contacts on the purple section registered when it was pushed only to the left.
We where able to find the contacts for the other two directions as shown below with the help of this not so descriptive diagram
I was thinking of multiple ways to waterproof a joystick but first of all we ensure that the joystick is mostly covered in a 3D printed box.
Then we have a small hole for the actual joystick handle.
Then on this handle right above the hole we can cut out and place a rubber cover over it to close it while keeping flexibility.
Then flex sealing said rubber cover on to the handle and box so that it stays on while being waterproof.
Might work might not I'll probably test while new members are making their own versions of the joysticks.
