Introduction

The "Allergies" module helps to point out allergens and possible reactions for them for the patient. In many cases, known allergies can be crucial while choosing treatment or providing medical recommendations.

Guide

Access to the "Allergies" module is available from the patient’s dashboard:

• Dedicated widget
• General actions panel

After clicking the "pen" icon on the "Allergies" widget or allergies link on the "General actions" panel, the user is sent to the "Allergies" module page. Information provided here will be displayed on the widget.

The “No known allergy” button informs the user that the patient has not been diagnosed with any allergy and that information is displayed on the widget.

The “Add new allergy” button sends the user to the page, where the allergy and its effect can be provided.

1. Allergens are grouped into 3 categories:
   • Drugs
   • Food
   • Other
2. Reactions are optional, the user can choose all applicable reactions for the allergen
3. Severity is optional
4. Comment is optional, the user can provide any additional information in the open text field

Accessing this page by clicking the “Add new allergy” button allows the user to enter only one allergy and information about it. If the user wants to enter more allergies, a new one can be provided by clicking the “Add new allergy” button again and providing applicable information.

After saving allergy information, the user is sent to the main allergy page, where all of the provided information is displayed in the form of the table.

From this page, allergies can be edited and removed by clicking applicable icon (pen or x) in the allergy's row.

By “Return” button, the user is sent back to the Patient’s dashboard. Added allergies are displayed on the allergies’ widget.
