Copy Settings to Other Covers
Once you have one cover dialed in, the π Copy to Other Covers action copies its settings onto your other covers of the same type β so you don't have to re-enter geometry, thresholds, and automation timing window-by-window.
This is a one-time copy: it overwrites the chosen settings on the target covers at the moment you confirm, then the covers are independent again. If instead you want a set of sensors to stay live-linked across many covers (change once, all update), use a Building Profile β see Copy vs. Building Profile below.
- Open the source cover's options: Settings β Devices & Services β Adaptive Cover Pro β Configure.
- Choose π Copy to Other Covers from the menu.
- Pick the target covers and the categories to copy (see below), then Confirm.
Only covers of the same cover type as the source are eligible. If there are none, the flow stops with "No other covers of the same type exist to sync to."
Before the copy runs, each target cover's current settings are saved, and a confirmation screen lists exactly which categories will be overwritten and on which covers.
The Select all covers toggle changes what the cover picker means:

So to push a setting to all but one or two covers, turn Select all covers on and check only the ones to leave untouched.
You copy whole setting groups β the same ones shown in the options menu: geometry, sun tracking, blind spot, position, interpolation, automation, manual override, custom positions, motion, weather safety, light & cloud, climate, and glare zones. Only categories you have actually configured on the source cover are offered.
Several groups are split into values and sensors so you can copy one without the other β for example, copy the custom-position thresholds and priorities to another cover while leaving its trigger sensor entities alone (those are usually different per cover). Categories you don't select are left untouched on the targets.
Each cover always keeps its own identity, regardless of which categories you sync:
- Name, controlled cover entities, and device association
- Window azimuth β every window keeps its own orientation (azimuth is always excluded from the copy)
Both features manage multiple covers, but they solve different problems:

Use a copy to replicate a good configuration; use a Building Profile when a group of covers should share the same sensors on an ongoing basis.
