Account export & deletion

Both are on the Profile page.

Export my data

Click "Export my data" to download a copy of your data as a file.

Delete my account

Click "Delete my account". You'll be asked to confirm — this cannot be undone. Here's exactly what happens:

• Your personal tasks and notes (nothing shared with anyone) are permanently deleted.
• Tasks, notes, and recurring templates you've shared to a household aren't deleted — they're reassigned to that household's owner, so other people's shared work doesn't just vanish because you left.
• Comments you've left on other people's tasks are kept (for context), but your name is replaced with "[deleted user]".

If you're a household's sole owner

If you're the only owner of a household that still has other members, deletion is blocked until you transfer ownership to someone else first — a household can't be left ownerless. See Creating a household for how to transfer ownership.
