Sharing tasks
A task can be shared two ways: to a household, or to an individual friend. Use "+ More options" when adding a task (or Share on an existing one) to pick either.
Household shares
Any household member with permission (see Household roles) can see, and depending on their role, edit or complete a household-shared task. You can also assign it to a specific member.
Friend shares
Sharing a task with a friend gives them a fixed set of permissions — they can:
Complete it
Clone it (copy it as their own separate task)
Comment on it
They cannot delete it or edit its core details (title, description, due date). This is intentionally more limited than household sharing — a friend is a one-off collaborator, not a member of your household.
Personal tasks stay personal
A task with no share at all is visible only to you — not even a household owner can see your personal tasks. This boundary is enforced regardless of role.
