Notes and #tag syntax
The Notes page is a simple place to jot things down — a personal note, or a household one if you share it.
Tagging a note inline
While typing a note, type # followed by a tag name (e.g. #groceries) to tag it as you write. As you type, a picker shows matching existing tags to choose from.
A couple of things worth knowing:
Only existing tags can be applied this way — typing #somethingnew that doesn't match any tag you already have just stays as plain text; it won't create a new tag on its own. Create new tags first from the Tags page.
Tagging is additive — using #tag syntax only ever adds tags, it never removes one you already applied.
If what you typed could match more than one tag, the longest matching name wins.
You can also apply tags to a note the same way you would on a task, using the tag picker — the inline # syntax is just a faster shortcut while typing.
