Search
The Search page searches across tasks, notes, tags, households, and comments all at once, with results grouped by type. It only searches things you're actually allowed to see — the same privacy rules apply as everywhere else (e.g. someone else's personal tasks never show up).
Trashed items are excluded from search — if you're looking for something you deleted, check Trash instead.
Friends aren't searchable here
Friends are deliberately left out of the main search — that's by design, not a bug. Looking up a friend by name would require reading their profile name the same way search reads task/note text, which runs into the same privacy boundary that keeps profile names private by default. Friend lookup is handled separately on the Friends page instead, which filters your already-loaded friends list.
