The OSMOSE ecogenetic module is based on the principles of a family of models called “ecogenetic models,” as defined in the article “Eco-genetic modeling of contemporary life-history evolution” (Dunlop et al., 2009). The aim of this module is to study eco-evolutionary dynamics within the context of a trophic web. When activated, this module explicitly represents the alleles of coding and neutral traits, their transmission from parents to offspring, and their selection under human pressures.
