WorldCompletion v0.6.1
Improves discovery-stop placement so routes can move inward when the same targets remain covered.
- A bounded position pass runs before and after coverage search, testing points within reveal cells and nearby cells.
- Nearby candidates come from distinct cells, giving inward alternatives a chance instead of filling the shortlist with footings from the same cell.
- Useful position changes keep the stop count stable and preserve each stop’s uniquely covered targets.
- Added a Bird’s Eye border replay, coverage-preservation tests, and a diagnostic for checking one-square shifts.
- README credits now link the routing algorithms and research sources, distinguishing adaptations from the disabled region-planning experiment.
On the recorded border route, walking distance fell from approximately 49.3k to 47.6k units with all 114 targets retained. Other normal and Bird’s Eye replays also improved without dropping targets. A full one-square shift is accepted only when coverage and walking distance justify it.
Validation: Windows x86 build and all eight native test suites passed.
Download WorldCompletion.dll, replace it in your Toolbox profile’s plugins folder, and reload the plugin. This is the same tested DLL installed locally.
The plugin remains standalone and uses the existing GWToolbox++ SDK; Toolbox itself is not included or rebuilt.
WorldCompletion v0.6.0
Fixes long detours caused by midpoint-only corridor selection and improves discovery route planning.
- Navigation now considers the middle and both ends of each passage. The Sparkfly regression leg fell from 41.8k to 9.9k units on the same mesh; the fix applies across maps.
- Direct paths are verified through connected mesh portals, with floor and exit-barrier checks.
- Coverage search changes waypoint positions and order together, keeping every required discovery target. Small Bird’s Eye routes use it too.
- Small tours check the exact order using the displayed walking paths before coverage repairs spend the remaining budget. Useful waypoint positions stay stable unless replacing them saves meaningful distance.
- Bounded navigation caching, direct portal smoothing, route diagnostics, and offline replay fixtures support further testing.
Validation: Windows x86 build, all eight native test suites, a separate sanitizer run checking the Sparkfly road stays inside its mesh, and recorded normal/Bird’s Eye replays passed. Replays retained all target squares. Live testing across more maps is still ongoing.
Download WorldCompletion.dll, replace it in your Toolbox profile’s plugins folder, and reload the plugin. This is the same DLL copied locally for live testing.
Built against the existing GWToolbox++ fixes/2026-09-30 SDK. The plugin remains standalone; Toolbox itself is not included or rebuilt.
WorldCompletion v0.5.1
Fixes unnecessary wall-side stops and routing in non-completion interiors.
- Equally useful discovery stops now favor the shorter navigable approach instead of the first cell in map order.
- Changing the reveal radius reassesses old waypoints, allowing Bird's Eye View to replace unnecessary wall-side visits. Useful stops remain stable while the radius stays unchanged.
- Normal reveal radius remains 1 square; Bird's Eye View uses 3, an increase of 2. Outside-zone targets retain their separate normal-adjacency restriction.
- Explicitly excluded Dragon's Lair and other documented non-creditable interiors, including cases where their map rectangles overlap green squares. Underground regions are excluded too.
Download WorldCompletion.dll, replace it in your Toolbox profile's plugins folder, and reload the plugin.
Built against GWToolbox++'s fixes/2026-09-30 branch (b0f5a60943477fc89d268f753674f0583a0d9c5d). Use a compatible Toolbox host with those Guild Wars client fixes. Toolbox itself is not included.
Validation: Windows x86 build and all native tests passed. New regression tests cover indoor exclusions, edge discovery from three squares inward, stable waypoints, and buff expiration. The latest fixes still need in-game confirmation.
WorldCompletion v0.5.0
Routes now remember confirmed discoveries per character and map, keep useful waypoints during replanning, and run in eligible outposts.
- Added compressed discovery history with background saves. Returning to a zone avoids targeting squares already confirmed as uncovered.
- Bird's Eye View is detected automatically and uses its +2 reveal range. Discovery checks run while you keep moving.
- Routes focus on the zone rectangle by default. An optional setting includes directly adjacent outside squares at normal reveal range.
- Eligible outposts are supported. Dungeons, the Realm of Torment and other non-completion areas automatically suspend routing.
- Navigation is checked every second. Additional walkable terrain or opening connections trigger a background update; useful existing waypoints retain their positions and relative order.
- Portal blocking traces a thin barrier between mesh walls instead of using a large circular exclusion where reliable walls can be found.
- Added map-transition checks and fixed local header dependencies in the standalone build.
Download WorldCompletion.dll, copy it into your Toolbox profile's plugins folder, and reload the plugin.
Built against GWToolbox++'s fixes/2026-09-30 branch (b0f5a60943477fc89d268f753674f0583a0d9c5d). Use a compatible Toolbox host with those Guild Wars client fixes. This is a standalone plugin release; Toolbox itself is not included.
Validation: Windows x86 build passed. Planner, snapshot, history, navigation-monitor and portal-barrier tests passed with AddressSanitizer and UndefinedBehaviorSanitizer. The latest transition handling, mission-bridge detection and portal appearance still need in-game confirmation.
WorldCompletion v0.4.0
Route planning now keeps tiny walkable overlaps and moves stops closer to useful reveal edges, reducing unnecessary walking while preserving planned coverage.
- Fixed area and waypoint calculations for very small overlaps far from the map origin.
- Added edge placement that considers the approach and onward route, with a small margin inside the cell.
- Includes background route planning, improved route ordering, clickable portal endpoints on the mission map (U), and route display controls from the recent updates.
Download WorldCompletion.dll, copy it into your Toolbox profile's plugins folder, then reload the plugin and refresh the route.
This DLL was built against GWToolbox++'s fixes/2026-09-30 branch (b0f5a60943477fc89d268f753674f0583a0d9c5d). Use a compatible Toolbox host that includes those Guild Wars client fixes. The plugin remains a standalone build; this release does not include Toolbox itself.
Validation: native planner and snapshot tests passed with AddressSanitizer and UndefinedBehaviorSanitizer, including tiny overlaps, shorter travel with unchanged coverage, mesh containment, portals, and cancellation. Windows x86 build passed. The latest waypoint changes still need in-game reveal verification.
WorldCompletion v0.3.1
Detect portal endpoints from live GWCA map props in addition to the embedded portal table. This fixes maps where only one of multiple exits was available in the end-portal selector.
WorldCompletion v0.3.0
Adds minimap/world-map cursor coordinates, a portal endpoint selector above the recompute button, persistent portal selection, cached graph-distance waypoint ordering, and portal-edge-constrained transition relaxation to remove lateral midpoint kinks without crossing terrain.
WorldCompletion v0.2.4
Rollback release: restores the original forward-only relaxation, coverage-preserving morphing, validated route shortcuts, and elastic corner smoothing. User tuning remains available only as bounded iteration budgets, capped at the original proven maxima. Retains recompute, appearance, minimap, persistence, color-channel, and transition-safety fixes.
WorldCompletion v0.2.3
Prevents high relaxation settings from producing zigzags. Relaxation now stays within local footing alternatives and penalizes lateral deviation from the neighboring route chord while preserving coverage and graph-valid route expansion.
WorldCompletion v0.2.2
Fixes red/blue channel reversal in the depth-tested Direct3D ground route while preserving saved route colors.
