Wavie is an automated water tester for reef aquariums. This wiki explains how it works, part by part, in more detail than the website.
Wavie is still in development. Where something here is a plan and not yet a finished feature, the page says so.
- How Wavie works: one test, from tank to result
- Optics: the three-wavelength photometer
- Fluid path: the pump, the rotary valve and the cell
- Electronics: the three boards and what is on them
- Probes: pH, ORP, salinity, temperature and dissolved oxygen
- Lighting: the RGB ring and the logo
- Enclosure: the tower, its tiers and its connectors
- Software and app
- Expansion: the CAN bus, Wavie Dose and Wavie Power
- Reagents
- Beta Kit: what is in it and what to expect
- Repair and parts
- Design files: the CAD and circuit boards
- Licence: what you may and may not do with the designs
