The contents of the Wavie hardware repository and this wiki are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0.

In plain terms

You may:

• build a Wavie for yourself;
• repair and modify your own unit;
• share your changes, with credit to ReefMetrics, under the same licence.

You may not:

• make or sell units, kits or parts commercially;
• use the names "Wavie" or "ReefMetrics", or the crescent logo, for your own products.

Not covered

Reagent formulations are not published and are not part of this licence.

A note on the word "open"

Because commercial use is not allowed, this is not "open source hardware" as the Open Source Hardware Association defines it. We call Wavie open hardware because the designs are published for owners to use. The non-commercial condition is there so that the project can pay for itself.
