Getting started
This page walks you from spawning in to working a unit in the CAD.
Open your character sheet and fill in your name + details:
/char
When you save, your name becomes your roleplay name (nick) and you join the active session. You can save multiple presets (one click to switch between characters) — they're stored per your identifier. See Civilian & vehicles.
If you ever feel "stuck out of the session", it's almost always because no name/nick is set yet — run
/char, fill it in, save.
Pick an agency short code and a callsign:
/onduty <agency> <callsign>
Examples:
/onduty LSPD 1A-12/onduty BCSO 12-S-04/onduty EMS M-7
This sets your department, callsign, motto and issues your loadout. Go off duty with:
/offduty
The exact agency short codes (LSPD, BCSO, SAHP/CHP, EMS, …) depend on your server's config. Type
/ondutywith no callsign to see nothing happen — ask your server team for the valid list.
Press O or type:
/mdt
Only on-duty Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS or Coroner can open it. From here you set your status, work incidents, and run people/plates. Full walkthrough: Using the MDT.
From anywhere:
/run John Doe
/run 12ABC345
This opens the MDT straight to the Query result and posts the run to the radio/chat for nearby units. Running an unregistered plate gives the driver 15 seconds to register via /vreg — or the vehicle is flagged stolen.
If you're working dispatch, go on dispatcher duty and open the console:
/dispatch on
/dispatch
See Dispatch console.
