File Open

File Open is a fixed special item at the bottom of the menu (removable in Config). It allows you to browse for files, based on configured associations, and open the file with the configured launcher. As an example, this can allow you to browse and open images with a launcher for an image viewing program - without having to type a massive command line and file path out yourself. Or browse zip files, and easily extract with your ZIP program, adding further parameters if required (like extraction directory).

There's a lot of flexibility to enable you to set up file-based workflows in tandem with your Launch! menu.

File Search

There is also a Search feature, allowing you to find files for the selected association. You can choose the search location, whether to scan recursively and "Go deep" which means search inside files for the search string as well.

The File Open dialog can also be shown on its own, without the menu, by running ! /OPEN.
