Advanced Loot Info — Wiki

Advanced Loot Info (ALI) is an EMI/JEI/REI plugin that shows detailed information about loot tables and villager trades: what drops, how much, with what chance, and under which conditions.

Advanced Worldgen Info (AWI) is its companion: the same idea applied to world generation — which blocks a biome's terrain is made of, which features are placed in it, how often, at which heights. It is a separate, independent mod; install either one alone, or both. It has its own section on this wiki: Users · Developers.

This wiki is split into two parts, each covering both mods:

  • Users — installing the mods, reading the UI, configuring categories, adding your own loot information from a datapack.
  • Developers — the plugin API for mod authors who want their own loot entries, conditions, functions, loot modifiers or worldgen types displayed correctly.

What this wiki covers

The wiki describes the current version of each mod, across all supported Minecraft versions at once. Anything that differs between Minecraft versions — because vanilla itself differs there — is marked inline, for example:

On Minecraft 1.20.1 the condition is called minecraft:random_chance_with_looting; newer versions call it minecraft:random_chance_with_enchanted_bonus.

If you run an older build of the mod and something described here is missing, update it and check the changelog.

Supported Minecraft versions

Minecraft Loaders Recipe viewers LootJS
1.20.1 Fabric, Forge JEI, REI, EMI yes
1.21.1 Fabric, Forge, NeoForge JEI, REI, EMI yes
1.21.11 Fabric, NeoForge JEI, REI no
26.1.2 Fabric, NeoForge JEI, REI yes
26.2 Fabric, NeoForge JEI, REI no
26.3 Fabric, NeoForge JEI, REI no

The same table applies to Advanced Worldgen Info: it is built for exactly the same versions, loaders and viewers.

Every loader/viewer combination listed in a row is built for that Minecraft version, with two exceptions: on 1.21.1 Forge is built with JEI only, and LootJS support is built for Forge and Fabric on 1.20.1 but for NeoForge only on 1.21.1 and 26.1.2. If one you need is missing — including a viewer or loader not listed at all — open an issue or ask on Discord, and it can be added. Versions not listed here are no longer maintained. Forge is being phased out on newer versions; NeoForge does not exist before 1.21.1.

Only one recipe viewer is required. ALI itself is installed on both client and server; on a dedicated server it is the server that scans the loot tables and sends the result to the client (see Troubleshooting).

ALI Compat is an optional add-on for Advanced Loot Info: it adds support for other mods that ship none of their own, so their trades, drops and loot modifiers display properly. Install it only if you play with one of the mods it covers — the list, per Minecraft version, is on ALI Compat.

Both mods also require Advanced Core Info (ACI), the shared library they are built on. It is a separate, mandatory jar for every Minecraft version and loader in the table above, and one copy covers both ALI and AWI. Download it from Modrinth or CurseForge.
