CLI_nc2geostructure
nc2geostructure extracts variable data for a timestep and level and writes a vector file. The command is marked as testing phase in the parser.
nes nc2geostructure -i emissions.nc -o emissions_subset.shp -l NO2 PM10 -t 3 -z 0| Argument | Description | Required |
|---|---|---|
-i, --input_file
|
Input NetCDF | Yes |
-o, --output_file
|
Output vector path | Yes |
-l, --var_list
|
Variables to export; defaults to all | No |
-t, --time_step
|
Time index; default 0 | No |
-z, --level
|
Level index; default 0 | No |
The parser describes -1 for time/level as a sum over the corresponding dimension. In the current handler, the sum runs before variable loading, so this option does not reliably sum lazy input data. For summed exports, load and reduce through the Python workflow before exporting.
The current writer calls GeoPandas to_file without an explicit driver. Output format is inferred by the installed geospatial backend; use a .shp path for the Shapefile example and verify driver support for other formats.
Inspect the output with a GIS tool and verify the feature count, selected fields, coordinate reference system and sample values. See metadata and geometry.
