BBS Express 850 1.0

Thomas Cherryhomes edited this page Feb 23, 2021 · 3 revisions

BBS Express 850 was the first release of BBS Express by Keith Ledbetter and his company Orion Systems, in the spring of 1986. It was written in ACTION! and has a reputation of being extremely reliable.

While the first version of BBS Express! had support for up to 26 separate boards + E-Mail, it only had support for a single file section, with file extensions being used to categorize files and provide a simple security level. In addition, passwords are automatically generated. There is no support for external modules, which would come with the Pro version of the software.

Keith has long since put this version of the BBS into the public domain. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
