TL:DR

  1. Go into Ultimate 1MB BIOS, and set up Ultimate 1MB with the following settings
  • SpartaDOS X Enabled
  • PBI BIOS Enabled
  • SIO Driver: HSIO
  • SIO Devices: D1-D4 or All
  1. [B]Save Changes and Cold boot, wait FOR SDX command processor.
  2. Press RESET button on the FujiNet. Wait 5 seconds.
  3. Type COLD /N at D1: prompt to force a reboot while disabling cartridge.
  4. Wait for CONFIG to boot.
  5. Select atari-apps.irata.online from host slots
  6. Select Ultimate_1MB_FujiNet_and_UFlash.atr (it's on the second page)
  7. Mount it in drive slot 1.
  8. Press OPTION to mount and boot. The boot will fail (as the disk is not bootable).
  9. Return to the Ultimate 1MB BIOS.
  10. Press C for cold boot. This will re-enable the SDX cartridge.
  11. Once SDX is booted, do a DIR to verify that the disk is mounted. There should be UFLASH.XEX, and three ROM image files.
  12. X UFLASH.XEX to start flasher.
  13. Select the appropriate ROM size, and load the ROM in the SpartaDOS X slot.
  14. Once flashing is complete, ask uflash to reboot.
  15. Once back in SDX, verify that FujiNet tools are present and working by typing FCONFIG.
  16. Done.

Choosing the Appropriate ROM

  • There are 192K, 256K, and 320K ROMs.
  • The 256K and 320K ROMs write over the space used by the Graphical OS slot.
  • The 256K and 320K ROMs contain Manpages for the FujiNet tools
  • The 192K image contains most of the tools, minus the R* tools and man pages.

Note: If you wish to choose a different ROM size than what you are currently running, be sure to set the ROM size in UFLASH before updating.

Booting CONFIG from SDX

Should you wish to use the interactive CONFIG program:

  1. Press RESET on FujiNet
  2. Wait 5 seconds
  3. COLD /N

Why isn't CONFIG included?

It was larger than the maximum allowed file size for a single file on the cartridge filesystem.

What happened to the SDX man pages?

Too many directory entries in the filesystem.

I want to make my own cart image for U1MB, SIDE2/3, etc?

Use the SDX Imager Tool available here: SDX Imager Tool
