OpsLog

🇫🇷 Cette page en français : Accueil

A modern, fast ham-radio logger for Windows, Linux and macOS — Log4OM-style entry, real-time CAT for a dozen radio families, CAT sharing so WSJT-X & co use the same rig link, a DX cluster with spot alerts, awards tracking, maps and propagation charts, contest logging, QSL management and a QSL-card designer.

Built with Wails v2 (Go backend + React/TypeScript frontend), pure Go (no cgo libraries, SQLite included). SQLite holds the configuration; the logbook can be the local SQLite file or a shared MySQL database so several operators run one log. Fully themeable and bilingual (English / French).

Developed by F4BPO.

  1. Installation — download or build, and the first launch.
  2. Getting Started — the entry strip, logging your first QSO, choosing a profile.
  3. CAT Control — connect your radio.

Running it on a Mac or on Linux: Platforms is the one page of differences.

What OpsLog talks to

Everything below is driven by OpsLog itself, over serial, TCP or USB — no third-party control program in between unless you want one.

Radios Twelve CAT backends: OmniRig, FLRig, native FlexRadio/SmartSDR (LAN and SmartLink), Icom CI-V over USB and over the internet (replacing RS-BA1), Yaesu in all three of its protocols (modern ASCII, the FT-817/857/897/100 binary, the FT-1000 family), Kenwood and Elecraft K3/K4, Xiegu, TCI (SunSDR / Expert Electronics), and another OpsLog holding the radio. → CAT Control
Amplifiers SPE Expert 1.3K/1.5K/2K, ACOM 500S–2020S, Elecraft KPA, 4O3A PowerGenius XL — several at once, and OpsLog can answer an amplifier's own frequency polls so it follows the band. → Amplifiers and Switches
Tuners & switches 4O3A Tuner Genius XL and Antenna Genius, WebSwitch 1216H, KMTronic, Dingtian, Denkovi USB relays.
Rotators Two at once, any type: PstRotator, 4O3A Rotator Genius, GS-232 (microHAM ARCO, ERC), ERC-M az/el, Green Heron RT-21 / Hy-Gain DCU-1 / Rotor-EZ, SPID AlfaSpid, EasyComm II. → Maps and Antennas
Motorised antennas Ultrabeam and SteppIR, following the rig's frequency.
Keyers K1EL WinKeyer, serial DTR/RTS line keying, the rig's own keyer (Icom, Yaesu, Kenwood/Elecraft, TCI) and FlexRadio CWX — plus a voice keyer and a CW decoder. → Audio and Keyers
Power supplies BSIDE / Wanptek programmable supplies over Modbus.
Online services LoTW, QRZ.com, eQSL, ClubLog, HRDLog, POTA, Cloudlog/Wavelog. → QSL Management

Design in one line

Everything you configure (settings, profiles, rigs, cluster nodes, award lists, QSL templates, lookup cache) lives in a local SQLite file so the UI is instant. Only the QSOs live where the active profile points them — local SQLite or a shared MySQL. See Profiles and Databases.
