Feature Overview
Tip
JetSetCraft is one connected street-sports system. Movement, tricks, paint, dance, gear, world physics, and multiplayer are designed to compose rather than behave like separate minigames.
| Capability | What it means in play |
|---|---|
| Six ride styles | Inline skates, quad skates, street board, BMX, hoverboard, and scooter use distinct tuning and presentation. |
| Full player control | Movement follows actual directional input, allows standing still, and never forces camera-forward travel. |
| Momentum continuity | Slopes, boosts, rails, knockback, pistons, currents, ice, and other legitimate impulses stay meaningful. |
| Parkour vocabulary | Sprint kickoff, vaulting, wall kicks, wind redirects, powerslides, manuals, and transfers chain into ordinary riding. |
| Vanilla boundaries | Swimming and fluid movement retain vanilla authority; held items, combat, inventory, and dimensions remain usable. |
- 24 tricks with landing grades and combo/Flow scoring.
- 72 validated animation clips with leg-following skate presentation.
- Lower-body movement layering that leaves arms, tools, weapons, and head presentation composable.
- A compact, toggleable HUD aligned to Minecraft's survival UI instead of a full-screen overlay.
- Reduced-motion controls for players who prefer calmer presentation.
JetSetCraft recognizes exposed collision edges, fences, walls, panes, vanilla/Forge rails, and optional Create tracks. Transfers preserve useful velocity and avoid flattening the Minecraft systems that make improvised lines interesting.
See Grinding & Transfers and World Physics.
| Mode | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Tag | Choose among 139 aspect-aware designs or open the bounded custom tag editor. |
| Free Paint | Select one of 16 colors and paint sturdy faces directly. |
| Paint balloons | Throw color that bursts on blocks or entities and creates bounded six-face splashes. |
All placed art is persistent and server-authoritative. See Graffiti.
- 28 dance moves.
- Multiplayer cyphers with synchronized state.
- Physical Boombox tuning and original entrance stingers.
- Reversible Street Gear on compatible mobs without replacing their identity, owner, UUID, or AI.
- Data-driven gang identity and bounded event actors with anti-farm cleanup.
Optional integrations stay optional. JetSetCraft prefers isolated APIs, registry checks, Forge behavior, and data-driven entries over invasive global ownership. Research projects are documented separately and never presented as dependencies merely because they are useful references.
The Inspiration & Research Atlas records 173 Java mods, Bedrock projects, model/asset hubs, animation resources, tools, creators, music systems, and historical references. Every entry is labeled as research; permission and provenance remain explicit implementation gates.
