| Loaders | Fabric, Forge, NeoForge |
| Minecraft | 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2, 26.3 |
| Required | GeckoLib (all loaders), Fabric API (Fabric only) |
Download the World Bosses file that matches both your loader and your Minecraft version. Not every loader is available for every version at the same time; the download page lists the files that exist.
Put World Bosses, GeckoLib and (on Fabric) Fabric API into your mods folder and start the game.
The mod is needed on the server and on every client. The server tells players which World Bosses version it runs when they join.
- Put the same files into the server's
modsfolder. - Start the server once. It writes
config/worldbosses.jsonand the raid cache files inconfig/worldbosses/. - Change what you like – see Configuration – then run
/worldbosses reloador restart.
Your config is kept when you update. New settings are added with their default values, settings that no longer exist are dropped. If something looks wrong after an update, delete config/worldbosses.json to get fresh defaults.

Loyal Companions – tamed companions can fight bosses. Their damage per hit is capped so a pack of pets cannot melt a boss, and the owner counts as a participant for rewards. See
loyalCompanionsCompatibilityin the Configuration. -
PartyLink – party members near a defeated boss get the rewards and the advancement too, even if they never hit it, and the party is told when a member summons a boss. See
partyLinkCompatibilityin the Configuration.
