Realm Creatures

The realm has a lower monster cap than the Overworld – 50 instead of 70 – so the islands never get crowded. Server owners can change it with realmSpawning in the Configuration.

Umbral Depths – hostile

Goblins, dark slimes and shadow vipers also appear in daylight.

Creature Group What it does
Goblin 2–4 Small, fast and cowardly. Roams in packs, stabs with a dagger, grabs items lying around and flees when badly hurt. Slay it to get the items back.
Skeleton Warrior 1–3 A blackened skeleton with sword or axe, often wearing old armor. Tougher than a normal skeleton.
Dark Slime 1–3 An inky slime that splits like a normal one.
Shadow Viper 1–2 A long snake that lunges from a few blocks away. Its bite is poisonous.
Scarecrow 1 Looks like a harmless decoration – until you come close or hit it. Then it hops after you and its claws slow you. It freezes again after losing you.

Shattered Meadows

Creature Group What it does
Gnome (trader) village Lives in gnome villages. Right-click to trade: gnomes sell realm gems and flowers for emeralds and buy farm goods; their stock refills daily. Hurt one and all gnomes nearby run away.
Baby Dragon (tameable) 1–2 Feed it Terranite to tame it (1 in 4 chance per gem). Heal it with meat. A tamed dragon follows you, sits on right-click and fights with burning bites. It flies up to 4 blocks above the ground.
Wolpertinger 2–3 A shy hare with a little antler crown and feathered wings. It hops away from players and glides down instead of falling. Breed it with carrots or dandelions.
Moss Boar (neutral) 2–4 A stocky boar with moss on its back. Hit it – or get too close – and it rams you into the air, and its sounder joins in. Holding beetroot or potatoes calms it; those also breed it.
Giant Snail 1–2 Slow and peaceful, leaving a slime trail. When hurt it hides in its shell and takes far less damage. Its shell can be crushed into bone meal. Breed it with mushrooms.
Thorn Vine (hostile) 1 Sleeps as an ordinary berry bush. Come close and it rears up: it lashes with thorny tendrils and spits poisoned thorns from afar. It never leaves its spot.

Celestial Heights

Creature Group What it does
Nymph (trader) village A fairy that trades heaven goods: Caelestine, clouds, goldleaf wood, sky flowers and potions. She buys gems from the other layers; her stock refills daily. Lives only in nymph villages.
Angel (neutral) village A winged guardian. Harm an angel or a nymph and every angel nearby hurls spears of light at you until you fall. Lives only in nymph villages.
Pegasus (tameable mount) 1–2 Tame it like a horse by riding it; horse food helps. Saddled, it flies: hold jump to climb, let go to glide. It is faster in the air and never takes fall damage.
Cloud Sheep 2–3 Its fleece is a real cloud: shear it for cloud blocks, and the cloud grows back after a while. With its fleece it floats down gently. Breed it with wheat.
Sky Jellyfish 2–3 A glowing, translucent jellyfish drifting a few blocks above the islands. Harmless; drops glowstone dust and slime balls.
Star Hummingbird 3–5 Tiny glittering birds that dart in flocks around the goldleaf trees.
Storm Spirit (hostile) 1–2 A wisp of storm cloud that haunts the heights at night. It circles above you and blasts gusts of wind that throw you around – stay away from the island edges. It fades at sunrise. At most 3 appear within 48 blocks, and never within 64 blocks of a Worldbreaker portal.

Elite

Shard Sentinel – guards the ruined arenas on every layer. See The Worldbreaker Realm.
