Plaid is a tiling window manager for GNOME Shell — it arranges your windows for you, so you never have to drag and resize them by hand. Open a couple of apps and Plaid splits the screen into neat, organized sections. Close one and everything reflows automatically.
It also comes with plenty of polish: gradient borders, rounded corners, window blur, a drop-down terminal, a scratchpad, and even live desktop backgrounds.
That's it — Plaid takes over and organizes your windows. Everything else is optional customization.
