Floors

Give each level of the house its own drawing. Summary, alerts, ambience and every other setting stay common to the house. A plan without floors is unchanged.

Two floors with the elevator

Two floors in YAML

type: custom:maquette-card
default_floor: ground
floors:
  - id: ground
    name: Ground floor
    short: "0"
    rooms: [{name: Living room, poly: [[0, 0], [500, 0], [500, 420], [0, 420]]}]
    furniture:
      - {type: stairs, pos: [450, 200], floor: upstairs}
  - id: upstairs
    name: Upstairs
    short: "1"
    rooms: [{name: Bedroom, poly: [[0, 0], [500, 0], [500, 420], [0, 420]]}]
    furniture:
      - {type: stairs, pos: [450, 200], floor: ground}

With two floors or more, an "elevator" sits at the top right of the plan (floor_selector: tabs for tabs instead). A tap on stairs that have floor goes to the other floor, zoomed on the stairs that lead back.

In the editor

The Manage floors button of the toolbar (More menu on phones) opens the Floors window: add a floor (empty, with the outer walls, or a copy), rename, reorder, delete, choose the floor shown on load. Switching floors never changes the plan by itself.

The Floors window

Background image

A scanned plan or a photo under the drawing, per floor: Layers › Background image. Upload it from the editor, then Calibrate with two points and their real distance, or Align with a wall.

Privacy. Everything in /local and /api/image/serve is readable without signing in by anyone who can reach your Home Assistant, if it is exposed on the Internet. Do not put there a plan you do not want to make public.

Roof windows

Furniture skylight on the floor it lights, with roof_tilt (default 40°) and sill_height (default 200 cm). With ambience.light it casts a sun patch that follows the sun; a blind linked with entity shortens it.

Every key: Reference.
