Assignment Officer Journey Map Exercise
- The team had brainstormed, analysis and deconstruct the CDO journey map
- The team asked questions, discovered possible pain points and started to solve the problem.
- We started off by creating Proto-Personas > Discovered possible roadblocks > Asked questions about the bidder experience > Then provided possible improvements in the process.
The team utilizing Mural to conduct the exercise remotely to extract any questions we might have on the AO user group
Below are some examples we have compiled before moving forward with creating interview questions.
- How long does the training process take for a AO? Is training in a particular region/area? Virtual/In Person? How long was your official training for the job and how long did it take for you to feel proficient in your role as an AO in HR/CDA?
- What is the commitment in being an AO? Or describe the job responsibilities of an AO
- Do all AO’s have the same responsibilities throughout HR/CDA?. Does the AO role within Bureaus differ by regional or functional bureau? (
- Are AO’s located domestically (similar to CDO’s?)
- As an AO do you specifically work with one or more regional and/or functional Bureau s?
- How many AO’s within each Bureau do you work with?
- How did you build a relationship with the Bureau AO's (is it part of the job?)?
- How often do AO’s communicate with the Bureau’s Human Resource Officers and/or Bureau Assignment Officers?
- Do AO’s work on other tasks/projects?
- Do AO’s continue to work with the Bureau’s during the “Networking Phase” of the bidding process to determine the best candidate for the position?
- Do AO’s communicate with Bidders during the bidding process?
- How often do AO’s change bureau's throughout their HR/CDA AO assignment? How often do you backup other Aos portfolios?
- Are AO’s assigned to CDO’s? No they are assigned by Bureau (regional or functional
- How are AO’s notified for the “Handshake Agreement” (email, phone, in-person)?
- How are “Handshake Agreements” tracked for the AO’s?
