Description:

The mission of Apache Royale is the creation and maintenance of software related to improving developer productivity in creating applications for wherever JavaScript runs (and other runtimes).

Project Status:

Current project status: The project is productive, and working on the 1.0.0 release. Conversations are in progress about future extensions of Royale.

There are no issues for the Board at this time.

Membership Data:

Apache Royale was founded 2017-09-19 (8 years ago) There are currently 20 committers and 17 PMC members in this project. The Committer-to-PMC ratio is roughly 1:1.

No new PMC members. Last addition was Alina Kazi on 2024-11-02. No new committers. Last addition was María José Esteve on 2021-11-23.

Project Activity:

There are active conversations, many related to work on the coming releases, and to make Apache Flex's Blaze Data Services tool more available to Royale users.

On May 24 the community voted to approve the release of Apache Royale Compiler Build Tools 1.2.2. This is a suite of tools that simplifies and monitors the build process.

Community Health:

The project membership, though small, continues active. We have not mapped out a plan yet for trying to attract more participants from the ActionScript world.
