Command Line Reference

pkg-to-anyps5 <package.pkg> <output-dir> [options]
pkg-to-anyps5 <package.pkg> --list
Option Effect
--list Print the package's files and sizes and write nothing. The output directory is not needed.
--executables-only Write source/ only: eboot.bin and every module, unwrapped to ELF. Takes seconds instead of a full copy.
--jobs <n> Number of files decoded at once (default 4). Each file is decoded on one thread at about 55 MB/s, so more jobs help on large games if your disk keeps up.
--only <path> Write only the app0/ files at or under <path> (a file or a folder, relative to the game root). Repeatable. Executables in source/ are always written.
--relink <build-dir> Deprecated, removed in v1. After extracting, run <build-dir>/core/relinker/relinker (relinker.exe on Windows) on source/eboot.bin to make app.elf, and copy <build-dir>/core/libs/libs/*.prx into libs/.
--module-dir <dir> Deprecated with --relink. With --relink: also convert the modules in this package directory that the game loads at run time, such as Unity's Media/Plugins. Needs a relinker that supports --module-dir. Repeatable.
--windows Deprecated with --relink. With --relink: produce app.exe for Windows instead of app.elf.
-v, --verbose Show a live status line: the phase, a progress bar, bytes done, speed, ETA and the file being written, ending with a one-line summary. Without a terminal, or with NO_COLOR set, it prints plain progress lines instead.
-h, --help Print the help.
-V, --version Print the version.

Deprecated: --relink, and --module-dir and --windows with it, are no longer maintained and will be removed in v1. They still work in 0.2.x and print a warning. Run the AnyPS5 relinker yourself instead, see Running with AnyPS5.

Rules

  • --windows and --module-dir need --relink.
  • --only and --executables-only cannot be combined (--executables-only writes no app0/ files).
  • --list cannot be combined with --executables-only or --relink.

Exit status

Code Meaning
0 Success (also for --help and --version)
1 Usage error: unknown option, missing argument, invalid combination
2 The package could not be read or written; the message says why (see Troubleshooting)

Examples

# Check a couple of files without copying the whole game
pkg-to-anyps5 game.pkg out --only Media/StreamingAssets --only sce_sys/param.json

# A full extraction with a live status line, 8 files decoded at once
pkg-to-anyps5 game.pkg out --verbose --jobs 8

# Then relink with AnyPS5 (see Running with AnyPS5)
~/AnyPS5/build/core/relinker/relinker out/source/eboot.bin out/app.elf
