Running with AnyPS5
AnyPS5 converts PS5 executables into programs that run on a PC. It works on plain ELF files plus the game's modules. A package stores those as fake-signed SELF files inside a compressed filesystem, which is the gap this tool fills.
Follow AnyPS5's own instructions. You need these two paths inside the AnyPS5 build directory:
-
core/relinker/relinker(relinker.exeon Windows): the relinker binary -
core/libs/libs/*.prx: the system libraries the converted game loads
If either is missing, the error names the path it looked for.
Extract with pkg-to-anyps5, then run the relinker on the result:
pkg-to-anyps5 game.pkg out
~/AnyPS5/build/core/relinker/relinker out/source/eboot.bin out/app.elf
mkdir -p out/libs && cp ~/AnyPS5/build/core/libs/libs/*.prx out/libs/
chmod +x out/app.elfDeprecated:
--relink, and--module-dirand--windowswith it, are no longer maintained and will be removed in v1. They still work in 0.2.x and print a warning. The steps above do the same thing and let you pass any relinker option.
Unity games ship part of their code as modules outside sce_module/:
-
Media/Modules/*.prxare imported by the executable. The relinker finds and converts them automatically. -
Media/Plugins/*.prxare loaded at run time without being imported. Pass--module-dir Media/Pluginsto the relinker so it converts them too (this needs an AnyPS5 relinker with--module-dirsupport):~/AnyPS5/build/core/relinker/relinker --module-dir Media/Plugins out/source/eboot.bin out/app.elf
Pass --windows to the relinker to get app.exe:
~/AnyPS5/build/core/relinker/relinker --windows out/source/eboot.bin out/app.exeYou can extract and relink on Linux and copy the whole output folder (app.exe, libs/, app0/) to Windows. pkg-to-anyps5 also runs natively on Windows; relinking there needs a Windows build of AnyPS5's relinker (core/relinker/relinker.exe).
A game that stops at load time with an unimplemented system call or library function (for example _umtx_op or sceHttpSetAuthInfoCallback) is a limitation of AnyPS5's coverage, not an extraction problem. Report it to AnyPS5 with the function name.
