Disk space. A full extraction needs about as much space as the unpacked game, which can be much larger than the
.pkg(a 93 GB package unpacks to 134 GiB). Check with--listfirst, see Quick Start. - AnyPS5 (optional): a built checkout of AnyPS5 to relink the extracted game (see Running with AnyPS5).
- Rust 1.88 or newer, only if you build from source. Install it with rustup.
Building from source is the recommended way to install. It takes under a minute, needs nothing but Rust, and you run code you can read instead of a binary you have to trust. On Windows, install Rust with rustup (it sets up the MSVC toolchain), then use the same commands in PowerShell.
cargo install --git https://github.com/awake-devel/pkg-to-anyps5
pkg-to-anyps5 --versionThis puts the binary in ~/.cargo/bin, which rustup adds to your PATH.
git clone https://github.com/awake-devel/pkg-to-anyps5
cd pkg-to-anyps5
cargo build --release
./target/release/pkg-to-anyps5 --helpReady-made binaries are provided for convenience. They are built by GitHub Actions from the tagged source but are not code-signed, so verify the archive against SHA256SUMS.txt from the same release.

Linux and macOS.
tar xzf pkg-to-anyps5-*-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
cd pkg-to-anyps5-*/
./pkg-to-anyps5 --versionOn macOS, if the system refuses to open it, run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine pkg-to-anyps5 once.
Download the newer release, or run the same cargo install --git … command again with --force, or git pull && cargo build --release in your clone.
