diagram-design

diagram-design is an open-source collection of 29 editorial diagram templates built for use with Claude Code, hosted at cathrynlavery/diagram-design. Each diagram type is self-contained HTML and inline SVG — no external rendering dependency, no Mermaid — targeting a more designed, editorial visual style than typical auto-generated diagrams. The project is MIT licensed, created in April 2026, and has since drawn roughly 19,700 stars and 23 open issues.

Radar Assessment

Placed in Tools / Assess.

This targets a real gap: Mermaid-rendered diagrams are functional but visually generic, and this project offers a set of pre-built, self-contained templates aimed at more deliberate, editorial-quality output for diagrams generated during agent-assisted work. The rapid star growth is a strong external signal of interest.

No first-person use yet, so it stays in Assess rather than Trial. Worth trying the next time a diagram deliverable calls for a more polished look than a default Mermaid render provides — see also artifact-diagramming guidance already in use in this toolchain.
