Just tried new features, great thanks for the job 👍 Concerning quick favorites, seems to work in start follow location mode but not in start navigation mode. Clicking on the compass buton is not working in that mode. Tested on my couch without really navigating 😁 |

Is it possible to open the menu with the WunderLINQ with a short press or long press of the indicator switch? I had already asked Keith whether it was possible to assign the short or long press of the turn signal button with alternate sliding and zooming of the app. Do you really need the long press “Mute” on the blinker button? What do you think of the long press of the blinker button to switch between zoom and slide? and short press to open the menu and then select with up and down and navigate and confirm with short / and long press? kann man das Menü mit dem WunderLINQ öffnen mit Kurzdruck oder Langdruck Blinkschalter? Ich hatte auch schon einmal bei Keith angefragt, ob man den Kurz oder Langdruck des Blinker Knopf nicht belegen kann mit Wechsel schieben und zoomen der App. Benötigt man wirklich den Langdruck "Mute" auf dem Blinker Knopf ? Thanks for the "recalculation on ShapingPoint delete" fix - much appreciated. I notice that the Favorites are now visible regardless of the map zoom, and, having exported a test Group with a different color+icon, the XML formatting is a little different. I'm not sure what FWIW: My default "Favorite" zoom threshold was 11, which gave me visibility of icons but I could still zoom-out and see a mostly clear map when I needed. Currently, this "feature" has been taken away. I've investigated pushing a single GPX now that I can customize each color+icon, but think that I'll stick with "Group" as I may want to "control" the visibility of them sometime down the line. At night. By the side of the road. When it's raining... 🤡 Theme-wise: There is some improvement to make to |

@MotoUKRider It was mentioned elsewhere that the visibility of overlays will now be a switch on / off. "Block" is for favorites with radius used as no-go areas in routing and they are stored in special groups. |

Interesting behaviour with "Navigation" button: If you try to set an End point with Location enabled, ie: I want to go to that place from where I am now, you are now required to set a Start point (which previously only happened if the GPS was not active - and was an effective route planner). This seems to add a layer of faff into the workflow! External theme ZIP: Be careful if you use XML files inside a ZIP and remove the XML file that is currently selected: Cruiser will immediately exit until you put it back, select another theme, and then remove the unwanted file/s. I caught this because I often put the "Motorider Light" and "Biker" themes into a ZIP for testing and then remove them (to make the theme picker more tidy) when they are merged into the App. |

Coming back to this... @devemux86 what is now the "best practice" to set a simple A (from my current GPS location) to B route? Now, we must explicitly set a Start point even when location is active. You can't just enable Navigation and it automagically begins from your current location. However, if you set the Start crosshair over the red dot, it seems to "get it" and not treat it as an intermediate marker. Perhaps Cruiser should intelligently begin from "current location" when presented with just an End point? |

I can't really cope with the changes in the new version yet. The new menu without the ingenious tiles is a definite step backwards in terms of usability from my POV. I find reading long, scrollable lists less intuitive than before, even just when trying out the app at home on the sofa. I have no idea how cumbersome the whole thing becomes when you're on the move (as the crappy wheather currently does not invite for a motorcycle ride this will also take some time to find out). The aforementioned and previously announced removal of the separate zoom levels for favourites is also a pity.
Moving it to the first position of that list/menu might be a step in the correct direction!? Together with increasing the space to the next/other menu items, as one single line of these new menu screens seems hard to aim at while driving, especially when wearing gloves... |

Something the wrong with the route calculation in the 5.4.2. when adding shaping points to calculate a quick section, it calculates anything else than a quick route, only one calculating the section again manually, then it calculates correctly. Is this what you discussed in the other topic with automated calculation? |

here an example... Import as overlay and route, then delete sp1 till 14 and try to add shaping points to get the quickest route along the overlay. The result is crazy never the quickest route and always different if you use calculate section or calculate route. |

@DolomitesTom You have set the route profile "Fast and curvy" in the end waypoint. So if you delete all shaping points the result is a route with "Fast and curvy" as route profile. If you want the new added waypoints to use a different route profile, you need to set it after you add them. |

Ran into a reproducible error/bug with 5.5.0-b1. The app totally freezes a few seconds after the attached route is started in simulation (long-press navigation button) from its starting point. The app starts the simulation, a few seconds later it stops at the shown point of the route and freezes. 
The issue is reproducible, the app freezes always at the very same position of the route. Please have a look @devemux86... |

If I start navigation and then end the program without stopping navigation first, the notification no longer disappears on its own. You first have to reopen the app and close it manually. Would it perhaps be possible to sort the menu items in the menu that opens when you click on the route arrow according to your own needs? |

Minor observation: If you have a custom name for a BRouter profile, the original/default name is still shown in the top "title bar" when you go to edit the sliders.

Operation via tiles @bios4 wrote few days ago a comment I agree with. I did a bit of thinking and this is what I came up with: Firstly, the developement effort required for tiles may of course be higher and secondly, we also would accept a list solution in the end. But thirdly, we would really miss our beloved tiles, especially while riding. And aren't the tiles a unique selling point for Cruiser? Could a simplification perhaps save "our" tiles? Here are a few ideas:

@WolfgangZ42 Thanks for the ideas. This is how it tried to work because of Android UI limitations. Then users wanted to change the position of the tiles in the screens according to their preferences. Ultimately all this led to a huge development effort, a lot of discussions and difficult maintenance. |

other suggestion: if tiles are not possible any longer: use icon's in front of the Text and different colours, then the new menu tables are better to use specially on the road. |

Can you please make a different font size for the action menus and the panel? When I want to increase the font for the action menu for better use with gloves, the font size for the panels gets too big, not all needed panels are shown then any more in landscape mode. |

Could you please bring back the Tiles at least in the actions menu? Or please let's try with own font size for the actions menu. Now it is much too small and condensed. In landscape mode, especially on the tablet there is much more space to enlarge the actions menu entries. The actions menu can overlay the panels, don't need to respect the panel borders, please make it bigger. Also it would be better to have 3 colums there to simulate at least the tiles. The tiles were much better. The snapping works a little better now, mostly it snaps in the middle, sometimes at the right and sometimes at the left side of the route. The strange thing is that the route is much broader than the track, even if the track and the route width are set to 200%. It is ok if the track is little smaller than the route, but actually with these settings the track is just a small line. Will try to make a better report concerning wrong calculation of fastest rout sections when I have more time. |

I have an addional point: The Pop-up window when starting navigation is annoying (to me). Has someone requested this? Before it was better: short Press = navigation mode, Long Press = follow mode. To my opinion new users should get used to it. |

I can live with the changes Menu size 170% is almost like the tiles. Scolling is no problem, 1 swipe and you have the next 3 action menu entries. Some pain points already mentioned. On the tablet I would need to have the maximum size for menus at 300 %. Possibly 230 or 240 would be enough, but can't tell without testing. Can you change it in the next beta? |

You'd think there'd be an abundance of menu/list objects in a development suite to allow for "best fit" scenario like portrait-vs-landscape and "responsive" layouts etc. eg: A menu that is a 1-line-per-item in portrait, but renders as 2-items-wide in landscape. In @DolomitesTom image above, that menu could make use of all available screen space by having 2 items "per line". |

Did something change concerning menu sizes so that it only applies only on action menus and not standard menus? Seems so and is ok on the smartphone, which setting exactly has then effect on the standard Menus? |

@DolomitesTom Menu size setting only changes the action menus of navigation + follow modes. Normal menus, map menus, route planning menus, etc. just use a new improved implementation. If you want everything in the app to become larger, first use the application global size settings. |

Ok, on all newer devices can live with it. Nevertheless I would like to have the menu size on the tablet at least till 250%. On the very old chinese device, 5,5 inch, 720x1440, Android 10, everything is set to maximum from the OS and the font for the menus is still too small to my taste, even smaller as the font for all other apps because of the maximum OS level. But you don't need to care, it is only the fallback device for the backup device 😁 |

@0709wiwiwi It is recommended to check the waypoints and do not place them at intersections. If BRouter snaps a waypoint on the side road at an intersection, you can report it in BRouter repository. Please provide them a small route example to show exactly the report: test.gpx.txt |

The image shows exactly what happens here. The track color is linked to the heading between track points.
It causes this annoying error. By more tests I found more such bad results at road splits. Notice.

don't know what I am doing wrong: in simulation mode on my default smartphone neither the defined nearby Panels (3 are defined) are shown now nor are they voice announced. Only the favorites are shown in a panel (1 is defined)... no the old smartphone it is working now. What setting could be wrong on the 1st? |

It is recommended to check the waypoints and do not place them at
intersections.
The idea is precisely that after automatically placing them using the fill
with shaping points tool (fine suitable as autorouting targets in the
navigation) the user should not have to check their placement again first.
I will tag Alex about this issue.

Show speed limit panel only on exceeding limit does not work, it is not shown at all and also no voice announcement. I cannot post more details I am on my way. Favorites are also voice announced even if they are configured off. |

Speed limits work correctly here in all tests. Remember that the calculated (or imported) route must contain speed limits, so the app can show them.
Favorites also work fine. Remember the voice announcements have separate settings to turn on / off. Maybe you have confused the app settings? |

@HPK-AT Currently, the route sections that were passed become transparent, if this setting is enabled. Note: route section is the part of the route between 2 waypoints. It might be possible to make the route line transparent just behind the location symbol. |

The "Waypoints" list font in the Route is suddenly much larger in Beta13 vs Beta12. I have "Panel size" and "Button size" set to 135% and "Menu size" set to 100%. "Font size" and "Display size" are set to "System". If I set "Menu size" to a larger size, nothing happens to the "Waypoints" list - I assume that it's a "menu" as far as config/size goes? It's not so much that the font is larger, but I can't seem to adjust it! |

@MotoUKRider Latest version unified the text size everywhere. Text size in app is globally controlled by app / font size setting. Similarly the app / display size setting for the interface. Other app size settings additionally modify the size of items mentioned in the setting name: panels, buttons, menus.

Why don't I find the B13? Am on a motorbike tour. Can you please put it again in Dropbox? I would like to request again the Show on Google when long press on a planned route, please as additional redundant option. I need this very often, the alternative via haircross is not that comfortable. |
