Create a New User Account
Project Managers, Doctors, Nurses and Coordinators can create accounts for users on the Website in addition to administrators. However a hierarchy of roles is present so Project Managers cannot create accounts for administrators and doctors cannot create accounts for project managers. See the details of this hierarchical role system in Roles Configuration page.
The ability to create accounts is provided to all of these roles to ease the account creation process for new patients. The default URL for the page where new user accounts are created is [site-name]/admin/people/create
The following flowchart shows the key aspects of creating an user account on the system.

Start by entering the email address, username and password for the user. Note that users can reset their passwords from their own account edit page. Ensure that the user has a active status so that they can enter the website. This allows us to block users after their period of use on the system is over.

In the above screenshot the roles that can be provided to a user on the system are available. The authenticated user role is a default role available to all users who are registered on the system. Patients who will fill questionnaires should be provided with the role of "Patient" while healthcare workers should be provided with the required roles. Note Project Managers cannot register accounts for new Project Managers and Administrators. Clicking the checkbox called notify users of new account will result in a mail being sent out to the user informing them about the account credentials and is a good practice.
The next set of configurable item is the projects the user account belongs to. This allows us to ensure that patients see the questionnaire they are supposed to see and not the others. Note that it is recommended that patients are assigned to a single project for the optimal user experience. However it is entirely possible to assign them to multiple projects.

The next setting is Language setting. This allows you to set the preferred language for the patient and once set will ensure that the patient sees the site in the designated language without having to select the language by themselves. This is also recommended to be set during registration of the patient account. For other users who are likely well versed with English, the default English language is to be kept.

The final setting is translation skills. This comes from the Translation management module and allows us to set the translations skills the user has so that appropriate translation tasks can be assigned to them. Leave this blank for patients as they are not going to be assigned translation tasks. Doctor, Coordinator and Nurse role users can do translations, hence the same can be assigned to them.
