Patient Access Configuration Logic

The key goal of this is to ensure that:

1. Patients are able to see the questionnaires they are supposed to fill. They should not have to see other questions.
2. Doctors, Nurses and Coordinators can create Patient accounts and ensure that they see only the forms they are meant to see.
3. Project managers will control which projects doctors, nurses and coordinators are able to be a part of. They can also do this for the patient accounts.

In order to do so we leverage the following modules:

1. Webform Access
2. Administer Users By Role

⚠️ Permissions by Term module was used in the previous configuration but it has problems when used with translations. Hence a revised approach was used which uses Webform Access.

The logic is as follows:

1. Webform Access module allows us to setup arbitrary groups with access to Webform Nodes that will show the questionnaire. Patients can be added to the groups and then will be able to submit answers to questionnaires that they are in the group for. Patients will not be able to submit the questionnaire directly on the webforms but will be able to do so on the webform nodes which belong to the appropriate access group. The following cartoon shows the conceptual overview of the process.

2. We ensure healthcare workers and project managers are able to assign patients to the projects. They are also able to create accounts for patients and assign them to individual projects.
3. Once assigned, the patients are able to see the questionnaires related to the project they are a part of and nothing else.
4. Doctors, Nurses and Coordinators are unable to fill the questionnaires themselves as they are restricted from doing so by the webform configuration.
5. Finally project managers are able to create projects, edit projects and also assign the roles of doctors, nurses and coordinators to the user accounts they have created.
