P25 Radio
Applies to the published v0.3.0-beta.1 release. Device screenshots below came from a PNG-capable build based on later main source; see Screenshot Catalog.
Phase I clear voice is verified on tested systems. Wider compatibility remains work in progress. Phase II voice audio is not implemented.
Choose or import a local system in Systems, return to Monitor, then use SURVEY to find control-channel candidates. Wait for sync before expecting talkgroup activity. Only clear Phase I voice is supported for listening; Phase II voice audio is unavailable.
- Open Systems and select or import a local profile. A clean installation assumes no particular city or system.
- Tap SURVEY for control-channel candidates. STOP SURVEY returns to the selected control channel.
- Wait for synchronization and system identity.
- Leave AUTO FOLLOW enabled for eligible clear voice grants.
- Use HOLD for the displayed talkgroup. HOLD NEXT binds to the next eligible talkgroup if none is displayed. SKIP leaves the current call temporarily.
- Monitor: control/voice state, current call, survey, hold and skip.
- Spectrum: energy around the active channel.
- Talkgroups: recent decoded activity; unknown IDs stay unlabeled.
- Systems: select, import, export, rename or delete profiles. Deletion requires confirmation.
- RF Health: synchronization, demodulator, decode quality and receiver health.
Profiles live at /orcsdr/p25/<profile-id>/profile.cfg. Import reads /orcsdr/p25-import.cfg; export writes /orcsdr/exports/p25-profile.cfg. Up to 16 profiles are supported.
Encrypted audio is muted. SKIP ENCRYPTED returns to the control channel; OrcSDR does not decrypt traffic. Phase II grant/synchronization work is not voice support. Simulcast and multipath results depend on site and setup.
The screenshots below show the current page layout on the capture device. They do not establish reception on other systems or antennas.

PR #8: P25 dashboard and Phase I receiver, PR #52: encrypted voice handling, and PR #57: Phase II foundation distinguish implemented monitoring from unavailable Phase II audio. The published release identifies the installed package. A merged PR or source test alone does not establish live reception on every setup. Screenshots from the later capture build are identified in Screenshot Catalog.
