Command Palette

Enhanced Notes features an interactive command palette in the note editor to quickly apply formatting, insert links, or execute commands without using the mouse.


Accessing the Palette

To open the command palette:

  • Type / in any note editor field.
  • Alternatively, press the ⌃/ keyboard shortcut.

An interactive dropdown menu will appear showing available commands.


Quick Command Abbreviations

You can type a short abbreviation followed by Space or Enter to run these common commands quickly:

Abbreviation Command
it Insert Template — choose a template to insert at the cursor
ob Insert Outbound Link — link to another note
ib Insert Inbound Link — link back from another note
ic Insert Citation — insert a bibliography citation
h1 Heading 1 — apply Level 1 Header style
h2 Heading 2 — apply Level 2 Header style
h3 Heading 3 — apply Level 3 Header style
ul Unordered List — start a bulleted list
ol Ordered List — start a numbered list
mb Math Block — insert a KaTeX block
tb Table — insert a markdown table
cf Clear Formatting — strip text styles from the selection
