Export

Enhanced Notes provides robust tools to export Zotero notes to a variety of document and markup formats, ensuring that your research notes are portable and ready for publication or sharing.

Supported Formats

Notes can be exported to:

  • Markdown (.md): Fully compatible with popular note-taking tools like Obsidian, Logseq, and Typora.
  • Portable Document Format (.pdf): For clean, print-ready sharing.
  • Word Document (.docx): For editing in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice.
  • LaTeX (.tex): Ideal for scientific publishing and academic papers.
  • FreeMind (.mm): For converting notes and hierarchical outlines into visual mind maps.

Customizing Export

You can use the built-in system templates to customize exactly how exports are formatted:

  • [ExportMDFileContent] — Define the raw Markdown wrapper around your note contents.
  • [ExportLatexFileContent] — Configure the LaTeX document class, packages, and style templates applied to LaTeX exports.
