Welcome to the Better Notes wiki! Better Notes is a Zotero plugin designed to expand the capabilities of native Zotero notes and sync them seamlessly to external applications (like Obsidian).

This is a fork of windingwind's original zotero-better-notes plugin. It introduces a sandboxed Liquid template engine, native annotation color labels, multiple notes per item, automatic 3-way sync merge, and cleaner Obsidian exports.

Installation

1. Download the latest better-notes.xpi from the releases page.
2. In Zotero, go to Tools → Plugins.
3. Click the gear icon in the top right and select Install Plugin From File.
4. Select the downloaded .xpi file and restart Zotero.
