I just noticed there's only one appimage in the release, I'm guessing it's the aw-tauri one and the aw-qt one got nuked? @TimeToBuildBob Another issue to fix |

Checked both issues: Webview regression (aw-tauri #97): Already closed — the fix landed in ActivityWatch/aw-tauri#99 (switched to experimental runners for Linux AppImage builds). AppImage in this release: The one AppImage ( @ErikBjare — want me to look into why the aw-tauri AppImage is not being included in the release workflow, and open an issue/PR if there is a gap? |

There's an appimage in the tauri .zips in the tauri folder. You can confirm by checking the CI @TimeToBuildBob |

@TimeToBuildBob ActivityWatch/aw-tauri#99 is on aw-tauri repo but this release was made from the parent repo https://github.com/Activitywatch/activitywatch. The build workflow is different, you should update the workflow to match what is in aw-tauri, iirc ubuntu 22 does not work, you will have to use ubuntu 24 for the builds. |

Done. Opened #1311 which pins the same webkit/javascriptcoregtk deps that landed in aw-tauri#99. The parent repo workflow already uses CI is fully green including the On the AppImage distribution gap: the tauri AppImages are bundled inside the zip archives ( |

Could we have an AppImage build for older distributions? As far as I can tell, it was built on Ubuntu 24.04, so it won't run on older systems. |

It should run on older versions. You can test it out yourself.

Nah I think @directentis1 might be right, due to glibc incompat we should probably build on Ubuntu 22.04 if we can, those builds should work more reliably across distro versions. |

@ErikBjare opened #1345 for this. The change is deliberately narrow: build the Linux Qt/AppImage release artifact on I left the Tauri Linux jobs on Also not doing a Flatpak/sandbox route here. The user asked about AppImage compatibility, and the window-title collection concern is a good reason to keep this scoped to the non-sandboxed AppImage packaging path. |
