Category Import

The categories.xlsx template imports product categories, including subcategories, in one file. This page lists its columns and shows how to build a category tree.

Columns

Column	Description
Name	The category's identifier (a slug such as category_1). Other rows refer to it in Parent.
Title	The display title of the category.
Description	A description of the category.
Image	Image URL of the category.
Parent	The Name of the parent category. Leave empty for a top-level category.

Sample

Here category_2 is a subcategory of category_1.

Tips

• As in the sample, list parent categories above their children.
• Keep Name values unique and stable; the product import Category column refers to existing categories, and a category that does not exist yet is created automatically.
• Use public image URLs in Image.

Upload

Upload the file from your Selldone shop dashboard, then review the category tree before you import products into it.
