No. Al-Quran Quote is free and open source, and the verse data comes from the free quran.com service.
No. It works completely offline using a built-in verse list. Internet is only used if you turn on Online fetch, which lets it pull fresh random verses (and other languages) from quran.com.
By default, the Saheeh International English translation. When online fetch is on, you can switch to many other languages and translations, or the original Arabic. See Languages.
Click the small arrow next to the reference, or use the Change verse button on the settings Verse tab.
On the Verse tab, set the duration (in seconds), or turn automatic rotation off entirely. See Verses & Content.
Yes. Turn on Use custom verse on the Verse tab and type your text. See Offline & Custom Verses.

No. When you install a newer .rmskin, your personal settings are preserved.

It was probably hidden. Open Rainmeter, go to Manage, and load AlQuranQuote\Settings. See

The chosen font does not include that language's characters. Pick a font that supports the script on the Text tab. See Languages and Troubleshooting.
Right-click the panel and choose Unload skin, or delete the skin from Rainmeter's Manage window. See Installation.
