Going out

Anton Vasilescu edited this page May 9, 2023 · 1 revision

Going out usually means leaving someplace, especially to do something for entertainment. During the legal process, going out is slang that means going to trial.

It is often used to inform the lawyers or parties concerned to get ready for a court hearing or trial. For example, a clerk might tell assembled lawyers who are expecting to go to trial that day, "Your case is going out today at 10 a.m. in Department 9."
