Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961-68.  A federal law targeting organized criminal activity.  To protect economic enterprise, RICO threatens with civil and criminal penalties persons who benefit from racketeering or the collection of unlawful debts.
