Running at large

Anton Vasilescu edited this page May 9, 2023 · 1 revision

Running at large may refer to:

  • An animal that is off of the premises of its owner’s or custodian’s property and is not under either’s control.
  • A candidate for public office elected by an entire municipality, city, county, or state rather than a subdivision therein. For example, the City Council of Jersey City has nine members—six represent individual wards and three “at large” members represent the entire city.
